GOD IS SOVEREIGN

SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: GOD IS ETERNAL: Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.   Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God

GOD IS CREATOR OF ALL THINGS: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
GOD SUSTAINS ALL THINGS: Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

GOD TRANSCENDS ABOVE ALL THINGS: Psalms 8:1 (To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. ) O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Psalms 97:9 For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods

GOD IS ALL-POWERFUL: Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them , and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.       Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

GOD RULES OVER ALL THINGS: Psalms 29:10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.

GOD HAS SET A JUDGMENT DAY WHERE YOU MUST GIVE AN ACCOUNT: Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men , in that he hath raised him from the dead.  2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

THOUGHT:  The King James Version does not use the word Sovereign but it is used in several other versions and translations to describe God, His nature and His actions. Sovereignty means having “supreme power and authority”. The SOVEREIGNTY of God is known by the facts revealed about Him. He is eternal, knows all things and is all powerful and yet He is also merciful and compassionate in His love for you. A judgment day is coming by the plan of the SOVEREIGN LORD, but also the same SOVEREIGN LORD has made provision for your acquittal.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father and SOVEREIGN LORD GOD: All of the marvelous attributes of Your nature show that You are MAGNIFICENT and SOVEREIGN. Thank You for the provisions that You have made for me in providing salvation and deliverance in Your Son, Jesus Christ. I submit to Your SOVEREIGNTY over the earth and over my life, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
