GOD IS IMMANENT – GOD IS NEAR AT HAND

SCRIPTURES: Jeremiah 23:23 Am I A GOD AT HAND, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Psalms 145:18 THE LORD IS NIGH unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.  Genesis 28:16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely THE LORD IS IN THIS PLACE; and I knew it not.  Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH USPhilippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. THE LORD IS AT HAND.

THOUGHTS: One of the Merriam-Webster definitions for IMMANENCE is: ‘being within the limits of possible experience or knowledge‘. IMMANENCE is an attribute of God which refers to the truth of His presence in the world, His involvement with your life and that He makes Himself accessible to you personally, in such ways that you can experience Him and come to know Him for yourself. So always remember, no matter what is going on, that GOD IS IMMANENT – GOD IS NEAR AT HAND. I encourage you to remember and invoke the above Psalm 145:18 so that you will call upon Him and come to know His love for you and His presence and activity in your life.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father and GOD WHO IS NEAR AT HAND: Knowing that You are IMMANENT means that I understand that no matter what is going on in my life or around me that You are present right here with me. It is knowing that You are involved and aware of it all. Knowing that You are IMMANENT means that You will keep Your promise to answer my call in the day of trouble (Psalm 86:7 & 91:15 – see below). Knowing that You are IMMANENT, I trust that in it all and through it all that You have a plan and that You are here with me to see it through. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES: Psalm 86:7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Psalm 91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: Psalms 139:7-12 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
