SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting GOD, THE LORD, THE CREATOR [JEHOVAH EL BARA] of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it [JEHOVAH BARA].

THOUGHT: In the English language we sometimes use the word ‘create’ to mean that we fashion or join together existing materials to make something that did not exist before. The Hebrew word BARA means the creation of something out of nothing, which is an act that only God can do. This word is therefore only ever attributed to God. He created the heavens and earth, man, the heavenly host (Genesis 1), and also He created righteousness and salvation (Isaiah 45:8). Since He is your Creator, and the Creator of everything else that exists, He deserves your gratitude and honor.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, JEHOVAH EL BARA – MY LORD AND MY CREATOR: As I seriously think about it, I realize that You are the Creator of everything that exists, including the heavens, the earth and my very life. It is all brought forth by the greatness of Your power and might. You have given me life and for that I am grateful. I give You the honor and worship that You deserve as my Creator – JEHOVAH BARA. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

ADDITIONAL READINGS: Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; Psalms 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
