SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting GOD, THE LORD, THE CREATOR [JEHOVAH EL BARA] of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. Isaiah 45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it [JEHOVAH BARA].
THOUGHT: In the English language we sometimes use the word ‘create’ to mean that we fashion or join together existing materials to make something that did not exist before. The Hebrew word BARA means the creation of something out of nothing, which is an act that only God can do. This word is therefore only ever attributed to God. He created the heavens and earth, man, the heavenly host (Genesis 1), and also He created righteousness and salvation (Isaiah 45:8). Since He is your Creator, and the Creator of everything else that exists, He deserves your gratitude and honor.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, JEHOVAH EL BARA – MY LORD AND MY CREATOR: As I seriously think about it, I realize that You are the Creator of everything that exists, including the heavens, the earth and my very life. It is all brought forth by the greatness of Your power and might. You have given me life and for that I am grateful. I give You the honor and worship that You deserve as my Creator – JEHOVAH BARA. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
