SCRIPTURES: Psalm 30:10 Hear, O LORD [JEHOVAH], and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou MY HELPER [JEHOVAH AZAR].
Psalm 28:7 The LORD [JEHOVAH] is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am HELPED [AZAR]: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
1 Samuel 7:12 Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD HELPED us [JEHOVAH AZAR].
THOUGHT: Help is the rendering of aid or support in some fashion and could be material or non-material support. When you are in a situation where you have a need or a challenge that is too big for you, it is natural for you to call on someone to assist you. If you are not mechanically inclined then you may call an auto mechanic, a plumber or electrician accordingly, to fix a problem. It is quite natural to do so. Through-out the Bible the instruction given to you as a child of God, is that you call on the LORD first (See Psalm 50:15). In the Old Testament several kings caused problems for the nation of Israel by relying on foreign powers for help rather than calling on the HELP of the LORD. The LORD has a wide range of options to use to HELP you and He can draw from many, many sources. He could make the problem go away, He could show you how to fix it, He could send someone to fix it or He could make sure you get a knowledgeable person to fix it right the first time and for a reasonable fee, etc. No matter what the problem is call on JEHOVAH AZAR first, cry out to Him and allow Him to bring HELP from ways and sources that you may not have imagined. Then you will give HIM the praise as you recognize that He is THE LORD YOUR HELPER.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, and JEHOVAH AZAR, THE LORD MY HELPER: I recognize that I have looked to others for help and have not depended completely on You nor have I made my requests first to You. Please forgive me for not putting You first. LORD, I want You to be MY HELP and the first One that I run to in every situation. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

2 Chron 14:11 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee. 12 So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
