JEHOVAH ORI – THE LORD MY LIGHT

SCRIPTURES: Psalms 27:1 (A Psalm of David.) THE LORD is MY LIGHT [JEHOVAH ORI] and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 1 John 1:5-7 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is LIGHT, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in THE LIGHT, as he is in THE LIGHT, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Isaiah 60:1-3 Arise, shine; for THY LIGHT is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to THY LIGHT, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

THOUGHT: Light is the opposite of darkness. Relationship with God and following His guidance is called “walking in the Light”, as in Job 29:3 and Isaiah 2:5, while rebellion and following sinful ways is called “walking in darkness”, Isaiah 60:2; Psalm 18:28; Job 29:3. The LIGHT of God is closely connected with the Glory of God, Isaiah 60:1-3. God is Light and full of Glory and yet He imparts His Light and His Glory with you as you as you obey Him and continue to walk in obedience to all that you learn of Him.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, LORD MY LIGHT [JEHOVAH ORI]: You are my LIGHT and my salvation, I walk before You LORD, in the LIGHT of Your countenance, for you have delivered my soul and have delivered my life that I may walk before You from day by day (Psalm 27:1; Psalm 89:15; Psalm 56:13). I thank You for giving me the LIGHT of Life. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
