EL ECHAD – THE ONE GOD

SCRIPTURE: Malachi 2:10a Have we not all one father? hath not ONE GOD [EL ECHAD] created us?

THOUGHT: The belief that there is only ONE GOD is called Monotheism. The acceptance of the fact that others give esteem and worship to what they call gods does not in itself mean the recognition of them as actually existing gods. Their sincere worship towards of those ‘non-gods’ but that does not mean those gods actually exist. There is but ONE GOD [EL ECHAD]. Yet, who or what you worship become a ‘god’ to your mind and to your life. The Bible gives many stories of those who worshipped “gods” to no avail. Those “gods” were useless figments of men’s imaginations. There is but ONE GOD [EL ECHAD] who challenges other ‘god’ worshippers to that truth. The Philistine ‘god’ Dagon (a wood carved image) fell over twice, unable even to right itself up and its head and hands broke off leaving a stump (1 Samuel 5:1-5). The One God speaks in derision of the worship of idols made by the hands and the imagination of men (Isaiah 44:8-19). There is but One God – EL ECHAD and you must disavow all other ‘gods’ and give praise and adoration to THE ONE GOD – EL ECHAD.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, EL ECHAD – THE ONE GOD: There is no God besides You; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside You. I look unto You to be saved…: for You are God, and there is none else (see Isaiah 45: 21-22). I realize that making a ‘god’ out of my own imagination is a vanity and an abomination to You, THE ONE GOD and Creator of everything. I owe my life and all my praise, worship and adoration to You. I renounce all former attachments with things, persons, or objects that I have held in esteem to be greater than You. Please forgive my rebellion in this area. Only You deserve all the honor and glory which I now give unto You, THE ONE GOD – EL ECHAD. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
