SCRIPTURES: Deuteronomy 33:26-27a There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. 27 The Eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from Everlasting to Everlasting, Thou art God.
THOUGHT: God has no beginning and no end. This fact is difficult for human understanding because your life and thoughts are bound by time and space. However, God is not bound and has always existed from Everlasting to Everlasting. God is the Creator of the universe, the galaxies, our solar system, the earth and everything that exists anywhere and everywhere. He created you and while you are dependent on Him and others, He is Eternal, Independent and Self-Existent. Eternal means no beginning and no ending and that He knows no time, as in past, present and future. God sees all things in the “now”. This is why His name is “I Am”. Everything is in the present with God and so therefore nothing takes Him by surprise. Independent and Self-Existent mean that He needs nothing from anyone or anything. No one gave God anything to get Him started or gives Him anything to keep Him going. Everything He ever needed or will need is and has always been within Himself. He is the great Source of all things, the Only Supreme God and Final Judge in all eternity. You will see that God has many other attributes that complement and contrast with these, such as Love and Mercy. He does not need anything, yet He Loves you, is Merciful to you and has plans for you.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father: I am thankful to know that You are Eternal, Self-Existent and far greater than all of Your creation, including me. It is especially comforting to know that You already know all things and nothing takes You by surprise. This it helps me to put my complete faith and confidence in You. Nothing can happen to me that You have not foreknown and foreseen. As I have placed my life in Your hands I trust that You will orchestrate my days as I surrender my life to Your guidance. Thank You for Your Love and Mercy to me. My desire is to come to know and to walk more fully in Your plan for my life. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
