40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NATION | DAY 37 | 10/30/2020

SCRIPTURES: Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

LUKE 10:1-2 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

ACTS 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

THOUGHT: Has the Gospel been preached to all nations? If not yet, it may be very close. The explosion of rapid travel and communication through technology have allowed the spread of the Gospel farther, wider, and deeper into previously unreached areas. Print, phone, radio, television, internet, satellite, and wireless have all been employed to fulfill the Great Commission. Yet within the “reached” nations there is still a great work to do.

As Jesus’ disciples, we are commanded to take the Gospel to the world. We must use the technology we now have in our hands to widen our influence in the world as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: LORD, we surrender to Your call to take the Gospel to all nations. Give us wisdom, direction, and assistance as we lift our voice to proclaim the Good News.

LORD, this nation of immigrants is filled with people from all nations who may not really hear the Gospel unless they see it lived out. As we raise our voices here on our own shores, we also raise our living to be an example of Gospel teaching. Empower our living and our voices to proclaim Your love and Good News to all the nations of the earth. In Jesus’ Name.

Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
