PRAYING FOR THE INTEGRITY OF LEADERS AND OF OURSELVES:
SCRIPTURES: Proverbs 11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.
Proverbs 28:6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
Proverbs 4:25-27 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee 26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. 27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Hebrews 13:18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
2 Corinthians 8:21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
1 Kings 9:4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
THOUGHT: The dictionary definition of integrity is the state of being complete or undivided. The integrity of our character means that what we say and do publicly integrates with what we say and do privately. Another way to say it is that the integration of our walk and our talk are seamless. This must be the position of each of us that name the name of Christ.
PRAYER: LORD, we ask Your forgiveness for all past times where we have been divided or have not taken a firm and principled stand for the things You care about. We commit ourselves to integrity of character and ask for Your help and power to bring it about.
LORD, we also pray for our leaders in the church, business and political realms. We recognize that there is strong temptation to induce them to break their sacred trust. We also know that there are deceptions to influence decisions by disguising them as something good. Give wisdom and the power of discernment to them and to us as we walk out our daily responsibilities with integrity. In Jesus’ Name.
Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
