40 Days Of Prayer For Our Nation: Day Thirteen 10/06/2020

LOVING, HONORING AND RESPECTING EACH OTHER:

SCRIPTURES: Romans 12:3-5; 16-18 [3] For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. [4] For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: [5] So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. [16] Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. [17] Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. [18] If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. (See also Romans 12:1-18 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

THOUGHTS: The twelfth chapter of both Romans and 1 Corinthians tell us that we all need each other. These chapters help us to understand that we really cannot get along in a healthy way without each other. God did not make us to be individual units separate and distinct from one another. He made us to be co-dependent upon one another. Some are strong in one area and weak in other areas. Another is strong in the areas of another’s weakness. By working together we can complement each other and work with God to build something greater than ourselves.

PRAYER: LORD, help us to see how we can help and bless others by the use of the gifts and skills You have given us and at the same time help us to see how we can be benefitted and blessed by others. LORD, help us as a nation to turn back to God and help the various groups in our nation to see that we all need each other to make our nation better. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

PRAYER FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA: LORD, please touch President Donald Trump, his wife Melania and all those in his inner circle impacted by the COVID19 disease. Touch their bodies and bring them to health. Give wisdom, skill and discretion to the physicians attending to him. Open the president’s heart and the hearts of his family and the presidential circle to receive the full salvation of Christ in truth. Give him the wisdom and motivation to use his words and actions to bring healing to our nation, In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
