40 Days of Prayer for Our Nation: Day Twelve 10/05/2020

WE ARE ALL CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD: Let us strive to love and respect each other recognizing that all people of all races, ethnicities and countries have value.

SCRIPTURES: Acts 17:24a & 26aGod that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth…” [26] “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…” Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

THOUGHTS: An appeal is made in 1 John 4:7 above, “Beloved, let us love one another.” We are all created by God for His glory and therefore we should honor and respect God and one another in keeping with the honor and respect that we wish for ourselves. There is such beauty in diversity. As we consider the similarities and differences of each other there is so much that we can learn from each other as we humbly co-exist. Also, God sees each one of such value that Jesus shed His Blood just for that one.

There is so much hurt, pain, anger and bitterness in our nation because of the injustices of the past. We must learn to turn from the bitterness and respond in a spirit of love and acceptance of each other in order to bring healing to our nation.

PRAYER: LORD, Our nation is in chaos because we walked away from Your truths and Your ways. We honor You as our LORD and we ask your forgiveness for our wrong thoughts, wrong motives, wrong words and wrong behaviors. Cleanse our hearts of hatred for others, help us that we may forgive one another and give us Your Spirit of Love and Peace with others. Help us to turn back to You, Your Word and Your Ways.

LORD, we take this moment to intercede on behalf of our nation. We realize the issue relates to how we have treated one another and how we continue to treat one another. The rhetoric of politics and media are damaging and are causing hatred and violence on our land. We renounce these evil schemes and pray for an intervention into the public discourse and leadership ranks to bring about a radical change in our nation. Without Your intervention it seems that things will only get worse. LORD, move in our midst, we pray, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

PRAYER FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA: LORD, please touch President Donald Trump, his wife Melania and all those in his inner circle impacted by the COVID19 disease. Touch their bodies and bring them to health. Give wisdom, skill and discretion to the physicians attending to him. Open the president’s heart and the hearts of his family and the presidential circle to receive the full salvation of Christ in truth. Give him the wisdom and motivation to use his words and actions to bring healing to our nation, In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
