40 Days Of Prayer for Our Nation: Day Seven 09/30/2020

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! – ACCEPTING AND PROCLAIMING JESUS’ LORDSHIP OVER OUR LIVES:

SCRIPTURE: Phil 2:8-11 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans 14:8-9 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. 9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

THOUGHTS: Jesus Christ has all authority, all dominion and all rulership of things in every life on earth, saved and unsaved. (Matt 28:18). He already is LORD (Phil 2:11) and the great revelation that we come to receive after salvation is to accept Him as LORD and yield to His LORDSHIP over every aspect of our lives. Romans 14:8 says: “…We are the LORDS’!”

Our yielding to His LORDSHIP means that we submit and surrender in obedience to His will and purposes in our lives and in the earth. Our obedience to the LORD Jesus is not the path to salvation. However, it is because we have been saved by Him, that to Him we give Him our allegiance and obedience out of Love and Gratitude. Throughout our lives we must continue to pursue His glory and magnify Him in all our ways. This means that we will continue to be exposed to areas of growth in our spiritual lives and our walk with Him.

QUESTION: Ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you areas of your life where you are rebellious, disobedient, unthankful, unholy or have otherwise missed the mark? Ask Holy Spirit to reveal to you areas were you are not faithful to the LORD Jesus Christ? Ask the LORD what you may do to proclaim His name in this nation so that His will is done by this nation.

It is critically important that we be completely honest with ourselves and with God in regard to these questions. He already knows the answers and we have to be careful that our flesh does not block us from hearing His voice due to selfishness, pride, self-importance or self-accomplishment.

Whatever is personally revealed to you in your inner spirit is an area for you to confess, repent and change. Jesus Christ is LORD over the heaven and the earth but only you can submit to Him, accept His LORDSHIP over your life and live a life of faithful obedience and service to the ONE who deserves all honor and praise – Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Remember that Jesus’ LORDSHIP extends to others also. Be aware of His work in your life and how it may intersect with others to accomplish His will in your life, other’s lives as well as in the nation and the earth. Your life is important to your LORD!

PRAYER: LORD forgive me for my selfish rebellion and faithlessness as You have revealed to me. You deserve all honor and praise. Thank You for salvation and deliverance by Your sinless life and the shedding of your innocent blood. LORD, I hear Your voice regarding my life and my allegiance to You. I commit to making the adjustments You have shown. Help me also to know what part I may play in the lives of those I have influence over and in bringing my nation back to You. I submit and surrender to Your LORDSHIP in my life, my family and my nation, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
