The Role of The Holy Spirit In Your Life – He Helps You To Obey…

SCRIPTURES: 1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

THOUGHT: It is only by Holy Spirit that we are able to be obedient to God. Being born into this earth means that we are born into sin. God knew that we desperately need help and provides Salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. He also fills us with the power to live right and obey Him, by the Holy Ghost which dwells within and fills us with the Word, will and ways of God. Trying on your own to please God has never worked and has only led to frustration. You need the Holy Spirit’s infilling power to live for God

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I desire to be obedient to You. I know that following You is the only meaningful way to live. Sometimes I struggle with complete obedience. I believe in Jesus as my Savior and I have made a decision to live righteously and godly. So, I ask for the power of Your Spirit living in me to purify my life of all ungodliness. I ask for and by faith I receive another measure of Your life and strength and power to live victoriously for You, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
