SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 18:1-3 ( To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said, ) I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and MY DELIVERER [JEHOVAH EL PALAT]; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
THOUGHT: The LORD’s power to deliver you is greater than any and all other power in the universe. Therefore there is no enemy in the natural world or in the spiritual world, no situation, nor any bondage that may afflict you that is so great as to be too difficult for the LORD (Genesis 18:14; Jeremiah 32:17). He is THE LORD GOD YOUR DELIVERER if you allow Him to be. When a deliverer comes to rescue you from danger, they usually give you specific instructions. When you follow the instructions there is victory or deliverance as you escape or are drawn into safety. When you hesitate, procrastinate, have objections or are disobedient to the instructions there may be disaster. Some may sit in the presence of THE DELIVERER but remain in bondage for reasons such as these.
DELIVERANCE may come in as many ways as you may find yourself in trouble. God protects, rescues, restores, replenishes, heals and makes a way of escape from trouble and from temptation. God delivers from the oppression of an enemy, from a threatening situation or from a false charge. As you remain faithful and obedient to His general and specific instructions He goes to work on your behalf. He may even use the very trial to elevate you as He did to Joseph, David, and many others in the Bible.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father and MY LORD GOD AND DELIVERER [JEHOVAH EL PALET]: I open my ears and my eyes to hear and follow Your general and specific instructions for life. I submit to Your wisdom and instruction so that I may live in freedom from bondage and oppression. You have made me free from the penalty of sin and from its bondage. I choose to follow Your instructions and remain in You and in freedom. You are my SAVIOR, MY GOD and DELIVERER [EL PALET]. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
