GOD IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE BUT MAKES HIMSELF KNOWN

SCRIPTURES: Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the endIsaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts1 Corinthians 2:16a For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?

THOUGHT: To say that GOD IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE is not to say that you cannot know or comprehend anything at all about God, but it is to realize that you cannot understand everything about God or about His works and ways. This is because God is infinite and infallible, while you are finite and fallible. God says in Isaiah 55:8-9 that your thoughts and your ways are far from His thoughts and His ways. So it is God Himself, who has chosen to reveal Himself to you. As much as you may search Him out you cannot comprehend all the fullness of God, but you are able to comprehend what He has revealed when you position yourself to be a recipient of His revelation. Things have happened or are happening in your life that you may not understand. However, you can rely on the fact that all you already know about God has not changed. God is GOOD and God is FAITHFUL and that He will be with you even in the present crisis of events.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, the INCOMPREHENSIBLE ONE WHO MAKES HIMSELF KNOWN: I humble myself and surrender myself to Your will and Your way. I realize that You are God and that You are Higher and Mightier than I, that You know far more than I and that You can see from the beginning to the end of every single situation. So, I submit and surrender in that I may not understand everything about the present. Give me a teachable heart as I submit to being in position to understand those things that are revealed and open to me. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

Job 15:8 Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
