SCRIPTURES: Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I AM THY SHIELD [MAGEN], and thy exceeding great reward. 2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my SHIELD [MAGEN], and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. 2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a BUCKLER [MAGEN] to all them that trust in him.

THOUGHT: A SHIELD is a defensive weapon for protection, but it may also be used in close combat as a weapon of offence. Living in these last days it is very likely that you have been or will be assaulted with physical, emotional, spiritual or psychological violence. It may be unprovoked and/or a response to your stand for righteousness as a Christian. THE LORD IS YOUR SHIELD [JEHOVAH MAGEN], to protect you from the impact and effects of these attacks. Whether the attack be at long range or at close quarters, I invite you to look to the LORD as your SHIELD [JEHOVAH MAGEN]. Call upon Him and trust Him to protect you in times of attack.  “For the LORD is our DEFENSE [MAGEN]; and the Holy One of Israel is our king” – Psalm 89:18. “The LORD is my strength and my SHIELD [JEHOVAH MAGEN]; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him” – Psalm 28:7.

PRAYER: Dear LORD and Heavenly Father, JEHOVAH MAGEN – MY LORD AND MY SHIELD: As I devote my life to You, I trust You in every situation to protect me, my family and my concerns. You are JEHOVAH MAGEN – MY LORD AND MY SHIELD. Thank You for SHIELDING me from things of which I may not even be aware. I receive Your love and protection, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
