JEHOVAH GA’AL – THE LORD MY REDEEMER

SCRIPTURES: Job 19:25 For I know that MY REDEEMER [GA’AL] liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: Isaiah 49:26 “…And all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and THY REDEEMER [GA’AL], the mighty One of Jacob.” Isaiah 60:16 “…Thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and THY REDEEMER [GA’AL], the mighty One of Jacob.” Jeremiah 50:34 “Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause…”

THOUGHT: In the verses above, Job, while in desperate circumstances, clings to his hope in the LORD as his Redeemer, while the LORD promises the children of Israel, as He also promises to you that He is your Savior and your Redeemer. The sin and degradation of mankind is an offence against a Holy God which put all of man in the direct line for bondage, destruction and death (See Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23). Confronted with man’s rebellion and sin God Himself did and still does the unthinkable. Responding in the opposite spirit, He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to become your Redeemer. Although you live on this earth, have a family, job, friends, etc, you are living in a time of suspended judgment. God is the great JEHOVAH GA’AL, JEHOVAH YOUR REDEEMER who has made a way for your Redemption.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, MY LORD AND REDEEMER [JEHOVAH GA’AL]:  Thank You for giving me a chance to see Your heart of love and forgiveness in that You are determined to be my Redeemer. I thank You Jesus that You shed Your precious blood to ransom me from the punishment that I should receive and that my sins are thrown into the depths of the sea. I receive the Redeeming power of Your love and forgiveness and thank You for this deliverance, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

ADDITIONAL READINGS: Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 78:35 And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer. Proverbs 23:11 For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee. Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
