JEHOVAH SHAPHAT – THE LORD MY JUDGE

SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 33:22 For the LORD is our JUDGE [JEHOVAH SHAPHAT], the LORD is our LAWGIVER [JEHOVAH KJACAC], the LORD is our KING [JEHOVAH MELEK]; He will save us.

THOUGHT: The word for Judge can mean one who sits in judgment, but also one who avenges against the guilty and delivers justice for the oppressed. The LORD is the Judge [JEHOVAH SHAPHAT] who is on the side of those who call upon His name. In His Wisdom, He offers you the best possible result if you are His obedient follower. While He maintains a standard of Holiness and Righteousness, He also offers you Mercy and Grace when you have times of need. THE LORD YOUR JUDGE is not an unjust judge who demands more that you can give, neither is He a capricious judge who rules without rhyme or reason. He is a faithful and kind judge who gives you opportunities to repent and to take advantage of the grace, mercy and help that He provides. The LORD is not slack, or foolish about giving mercy. He requires a positive response and if not received after many opportunities, then judgment may be allowed to fall. The LORD is honest and true, and He knows all of the details about every aspect of your situation. Once He makes a determination about your case it is in the best interest of all concerned.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, LORD MY JUDGE [JEHOVAH SHAPHAT – THE LORD MY JUDGE]: I thank You that You have all Wisdom and that You know and understand everything about my life. I surrender to follow Your instructions in living a life that is pleasing to You. I know that You are a just and true Judge and that Your Mercy and Grace allow me the strength and guidance for life both now and in eternity. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
