SCRIPTURE: Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is His Name whereby He shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (See also Jeremiah 33:16)
THOUGHT: When you accept Jesus as your Savior you immediately receive the Righteousness of Christ applied to your heavenly account, and your history of sin and wrongdoing is wiped clean. God truly does lead us into the paths of Righteousness (Psalm 23:3b). Now the decision is yours to stay on that path that He has made for you. You are not alone. You have the help of God and Christ, angels and the saints to keep you in this path of Righteousness.
Jehovah Tsidkenu is a compound name translated as “the Lord and Master Who is Your Righteousness“. Tsidkenu has to do with justice, righteousness, doing that which is right, deliverance, and prosperity. God Himself is the only one Righteous, the one who always does that which is right. To enter into relationship with God you must have Righteousness. But the Bible says there is not one that is righteous (Romans 3:10), so God, who is Righteous, provides Righteousness for you by sending His Son to pay the price for your sin (John 3:16) and to bestow upon you His Righteousness. He gives you the privilege and the right to enter into His family and into His presence (See John 10:9; Ephesians 2:18; Ephesians 3:12).
PRAYER: Oh Great God and Father – Jehovah Tsidkenu, My Lord and Master Who is my Righteousness: Thank You for forgiving my sin which caused the death of Your son, Jesus. Thank You for clothing me with the robe of Righteousness provided by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Thank You that I can come boldly to Your throne as You are my Loving Heavenly Father. It is to You that I come. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
Dear Jesus: Thank you for paying the price for my sin. With gratitude I receive the Salvation, Deliverance, Freedom and the Robe of Righteousness that You have provided for me. AMEN!
