40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NATION | DAY 39 | 11/01/2020

PRAYING FOR THE FULFILLMENT OF THE GREAT COMMANDMENT AND THE GREAT COMMISSION:

SCRIPTURES: Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 ¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

THOUGHT: Jesus taught that the bottom line concerning our relationship with God and His requirements is love. When we have learned to truly love God with our whole hearts, and to love and be concerned for others as we love ourselves we will have come to the place of right-standing  with God.

Jesus also commanded His disciples to tell the Good News of forgiveness and salvation in His name. While we tell them, we are also to lay hands on them to heal them, to deliver them of demonic obsession or oppression, and to teach them all things that He commanded.

PRAYER: LORD, we receive Your call to love You and one another. Please forgive us where we have missed the mark. Transform us and deliver us from all hindrances in our love relationship with You. Help us to see You as You truly are. Once we do, we can love deeply and without reservation. Once we establish a true relationship with You, and Your character dwells in us, then loving one another will no longer be a challenge.

LORD, we interceed for our nation. Love has already gone cold and every man or every group strives with another. Bring back the days of yesterday, when there was more love and peace in the earth. Help us, who call on Your name, to set the example by loving, blessing, doing good and praying for others.

Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
