40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NATION | DAY 34 | 10/27/2020

INTERCESSION FOR THE EQUIPPING OF CHRISTLIKE WITNESSES:

Isaiah 43:10a “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen…”

Isaiah 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Matthew 5:14 & 16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

THOUGHT: As long as we are willing, God is able to equip us for witnessing in our sphere of influence and beyond. Our life, well lived according to God’s Word, is a witness which gives rise to opportunities to speak the truth of the Gospel and Salvation in Jesus Christ.
The equipping is by the Holy Spirit of God who fills us with God’s power, shows us things and teaches us how to reach those that are lost. His power, teaching, instruction and guidance are available as long as we don’t quench His activity or despise His fellowship.

PRAYER: LORD,  We surrender our thinking and open our spirits to receive the work of Holy Spirit. Help us to live in keeping with Your precepts and teaching. Empower us to walk out the life in Christ and to openly and boldly speak to others.

LORD, only You can change the heart and soul of this nation so that it will be open once more to hear the Gospel. Only You can prepare Your people to be ready for such opportunities. We pray that You turn us around. In Jesus’ Name.

Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
