40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NATION | DAY 31 | 10/24/2020

INTERCEDE FOR THE SPIRIT OF CONVICTION AND REPENTANCE OVER OUR NATION:

2 Chronicles 7:13-14 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

THOUGHT: In 2 Chronicles 6:36-39, Solomon asked God to hear our prayers when we repent, turn away from sin and return to Him. God answered his prayer in the next chapter by saying that if we would humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways; then He will hear us and we will receive forgiveness and healing – (see 2 Chronicles 7:13-15).

Now is the time for us all to truly humble ourselves to God and one another, repent, renounce our sin, turn away from the wickedness and the mindset of the world and turn back towards our Creator, Saviour and Redeemer.

PRAYER: LORD, Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in us. Help us to see the truth and turn away from sinfulness and towards righteousness. In Jesus’ Name.

Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!
