Day Seven – THE RETURN 10 Days of Repentance, Fasting and Prayer for Our Nation: Official Prayer Plan

DAY SEVEN: FROM DESPAIR TO HOPE

KEY SCRIPTURE:
“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (ROMANS 15: 13)

ADORATION: YOU ARE THE GOD WHO GIVES HOPE
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (JEREMIAH 29: 11)
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (JOHN 14: 27)
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (ROMANS 8:28)

REPENTANCE:
“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest’.” (MATTHEW 13: 8-12)
Forgive us for putting our hope in things other than You. We confess that by doing this we have lost our anchor of peace and confidence and wel- comed in fear and anxiety. We come to You, exchanging our weariness for Your rest.
We lay down any burden of fear at Your feet—fear of the unknown, people, disease, the economy, war, or death. We set our minds on Your perfect love that casts out fear.

INTERCESSION:
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” (GENESIS 50:20)
Fill our hearts with courage. May Your awesome power, Your comforting presence in any storm, and Your guiding wisdom replace our fear and timidity.
Fill our hearts with optimism based on Your promises. May we look at today’s broken world not in fear or despair, but in the light of Your ability and purpose to work all things for good.

MEDITATION:
• Corrie ten Boom once said: “God has no problems, only plans… When I try, I fail. When I trust, He succeeds.”
• Turn your thoughts to a hopeless situation in your own life… is it possible for God to bring this situation from despair to hope?

40 Day Prayer for Our Nation: Day Two 09/25/2020 On Day two, of the 40-day of prayer for our nation, we are asking God to search our hearts again, to make us aware of transgression that we may repent and be cleansed. Psalm 139:23-24; Jeremiah 4:3-4; Matthew 15:18-20

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
