SCRIPTURE: Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
THOUGHT: Earlier in the same chapter, Galatians 5:16 says that “…if you walk in the Spirit you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh“, or in other words, you will not do things that are unrighteous and displeasing to God. The fruit that He produces in you is the Godly character traits mentioned in the above verses. You can be confident that God is at work in you to bring about changes in your character to make you resemble Him more and more each day. All you must do is to cooperate and purposefully allow Holy Spirit to do this work in you. You must not resist as God brings to your attention the things He wishes cleanse out of you because He wants to produce the new fruit.
PRAYER: Thank You, Father for Your purpose to produce Godly Fruit in my life. I desire to be healed and delivered of those character traits that are not like You. Please cleanse me from within. I yield to the influence of Your Spirit to empower me to a righteous and productive life that will be pleasing to You, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
