The Role of the Holy Spirit In Your Life – He Comforts You…

Acts 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

THOUGHT: You may be going through a difficulty right now or may have sometime in the past. Sometimes it is difficult to get past what has happened. Sometimes it seems there is no one there to comfort your hurts. You may be dealing with a range of emotions, such as hurt, shame, fear, anger, feeling unloved, unforgiveness and much more.

People are not always understanding, empathetic, loving or forgiving. But God cares for you and reaches out, not to condemn you, but to comfort you in your affliction and to bring you to a place of peace. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace. See Jeremiah 29:11. Reach back to Him from the depths of your heart and by your spirit. Reach out to His Spirit who longs to comfort you this very day and this very hour. Now is the time to put the past to rest and to walk in the mercy, forgiveness, peace, love and joy of the Lord. All of these are gifts He gives freely to you by His Spirit. See more of the Gifts at Galatians 5:22-23

PRAYER: Lord God, Heavenly Father, my heart still hurts after this long time. No one seems to have patience or to understand or care. I have heard that You care for me and have forgiven me already so that all I need to do is to accept You and Your forgiveness today. Today, I accept Your Love, Your Mercy and Your Forgiveness. Please forgive my attitudes and behaviors of the past. I desire to know Your peace, joy, rest and comfort in my life. Please comfort me, O Lord!

Lead me into the path of those of Your followers who are really experiencing Your joy and are able to share it with me. I now realize that I cannot do anything to become more worthy of Your love and nothing I have done makes You love me any less. I receive Your love and blessing and realize that it was always there waiting for me to receive.

Lord God, as You have forgiven me, I too forgive that person and those persons who have hurt me or shamed me in any way. Teach me Your ways! Show me the path that I must take! Give me the strength to face each new day as I live in this new way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
