JEHOVAH EL KADOSH – THE LORD YOUR GOD IS HOLY

SCRIPTURE: PSALMS 99:9 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his HOLY hill; for the THE LORD OUR GOD IS HOLY [JEHOVAH EL KADOSH].   1 SAMUEL 2:2 There is none HOLY as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.   1 PETER 1:15-16 But as he which hath called you is HOLY, so be ye HOLY in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye HOLY; for I am HOLY.     Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is HOLY; I dwell in the high and HOLY place , with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

THOUGHT: To say that GOD is HOLY [KADOSH] is to say that GOD in His nature, character and attributes is separate from mankind and is perfect, altogether different from what is evil or morally profane, but also different from what is common. HOLINESS and moral perfection mean that there is and never has been any trace of evil in His motives or in His actions. Since God is our Creator and Redeemer and is perfect, sacred, and set apart from man, only He is worthy of our adoration, praise and worship. However, He also requires that you also become like Him. He says: “For I am THE LORD YOUR GOD: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I AM HOLY…” (Leviticus 11:44).

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father and MY LORD AND HOLY GOD: You are perfect in all of Your ways. There is none like You. I aspire to be obedient and to be like You in all that I say and all that I do. I ask that You help me to live in Holiness and Righteousness in my daily life that I may glorify You. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

ADDITIONAL SCRIPTURES: ISAIAH 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.      LEVITICUS 11:44 For I am THE LORD YOUR GOD: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I AM HOLY: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. LEVITICUS 20:26 And ye shall be HOLY unto me: for I the LORD am HOLY, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
