JEHOVAH EL EMET – LORD GOD OF TRUTH

SCRIPTURES: Psalms 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD GOD OF TRUTH – [JEHOVAH EL EMET]. Isaiah 65:16a&b “That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the GOD OF TRUTH – [EL EMET]; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the GOD OF TRUTH [EL EMET]…”

THOUGHT: The Hebrew word ’emet ‘means firm, faithful, and reliable and therefore “truth”. By using the name JEHOVAH EL EMET – LORD GOD OF TRUTH, you are to understand that God never falters, staggers or wavers, but that He is faithful, trustworthy and reliable. You can trust that everything that God has said is true and that He will do just as He promised. You can have confidence that God is with you day to day as He promised (Jeremiah 42:11; Haggai 1:13; Matthew 28:20) and that He will return to take you into eternity with Him (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). God also promised that His Spirit, once received, will lead you and empower you through every situation you encounter in life. If you are obedient and ask for the Gift of His Spirit (Acts 5:32; Luke 11:13), He is faithful to give you the gift that will empower you (Acts 1:4-8; Romans 8:1-4; Ephesians 3:16). Every single word of God’s promises are true because He cannot lie (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18). I encourage that you develop the habit of reading the Bible daily so that you can get to know for yourself the Word of God which contains the truths and promises of God.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, JEHOVAH EL EMET – LORD GOD OF TRUTH: LORD, You are the way, the truth and the life. Grace and truth come to me through You. Your counsel and guidance is established as being the faithful way of truth.  LORD, knowing that You are faithful and true and that every one of Your promises are sure gives me confidence to rest by placing my entire hope in You. I surrender to the truth and to You, LORD GOD OF TRUTH. Please fill me with Your Spirit that I may have your daily guidance and power to walk with integrity and truth in all my affairs. I look to You for the wisdom and guidance for every situation in life that I encounter. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
