THOUGHT: The story of the relationship between God and man is that it is God who rescues people from their trials and troubles. God rescues nations, communities as well as individuals, such as yourself. However, God puts Himself under obligation, promising to rescue those who have surrendered to Him, call upon His name and trust Him for deliverance (see Psalm 50:15; Psalm 91:5; Jeremiah 29:12). Do you trust Him?
All of God’s rescue plans are called Salvation. For example, He saves from calamity and destruction, from sickness and disease, from failure and ruin, from brokenness and bondage, and ultimately from the wages of sin, which is spiritual death and eternal torments. So, God’s rescues are both in the natural realm as well as the spiritual realm. Rescue and Redemption are underlying themes of the Bible, which tells numerous stories of those who trusted in God for Salvation in troubling times.
The culmination of the rescue story is that real Salvation is found by faith in and relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus is literally translated as “God is Salvation“, so believing on His Name, really means you believe that your Salvation comes from Him. The Anointed One, Jesus Christ, is your Salvation (1 John 5:13).
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, El YISHI – GOD OF MY SALVATION: Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation (Isaiah 12:2). I thank you Jesus, that You are God and that You rescue Your people from trouble. You are Provider, Deliverer, Peace-giver, Redeemer, Savior, Healer, and much more. To sum it all up, “You are EL YISHI: THE GOD OF MY SALVATION”. Thank You, Jesus, for all that You have done! AMEN!
