JEHOVAH ELOHIM – YOUR LORD WHO IS STRENGTH AND POWER:

SCRIPTURES: Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”  Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

THOUGHT: As Psalm 23:6 indicates, Surely Goodness and Mercy will follow those who put their trust in the God whose name is JEHOVAH, who is the Creator, and who is Strength and Power.

JEHOVAH ELOHIM is introduced to you in the first chapter of the Bible as “the Living God” and “the God of Creation“. The grammatical construction is a singularized plural, thought to be introducing the three distinct persons of the Godhead. “Elohim” may have been an early introduction of God as having Strength and Power enough to be the Creator of the world, of man and of everything else that exists. It is Elohim that speaks “Let there be…” and by His strength and power it all comes into being (See Genesis 1:1-31).
This is the beginning of the unfolding revelation of God. As the people of God encountered new and different challenges, new names of God were revealed along with new aspects of His nature and character. For example ELOHIM is further revealed as Merciful and Compassionate, Deuteronomy 4:31; Gracious, Righteous and Merciful, Psalm 116:5; Faithful, Deuteronomy 7:9 and many more, as you grow in knowledge of Him and in relationship with Him in your every day life.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father and LORD GOD – JEHOVAH ELOHIM – My God of Strength and Power: Thank You for creating me and making me in Your image. I also thank you for revealing Yourself to me as I come to know You in new and different ways. Lord God, I pray that by Your Strength and Power I may continually be recreated anew in Christ Jesus my Lord. I open my spiritual eyes and ears with great anticipation of continually experiencing You, as I encounter new and different situations in my life. I only ask that You lead and guide me into Your Righteousness by Your Faithfulness, Mercy and Compassion towards me. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
