JEHOVAH-SABOATH: THE LORD WHO IS YOUR LORD OF THE HOSTS

SCRIPTURES: PSALM 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

1 Sam 1:3a “And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto THE LORD OF HOSTS in Shiloh…”

THOUGHT: In Psalm 23:5 God prepares a table right in the midst of the enemy. Preparing a table indicates special honor being given the one for whom it is prepared. Even if you may be surrounded and seemingly defeated right now, call on the LORD OF THE ARMIES  to take up your battle. God is able to bring victory right in the midst of seeming defeat, right in the midst of the enemy’s presence, and then spread a table to celebrate you for your faith in Him.

The Word JEHOVAH-SABOATH translates to THE LORD OF THE ARMIES. God may use angelic armies or human armies. All forces are under His dominion. SABOATH actually means servants. All powers and armies are in the service of God and therefore all are servants to God. The first use of this word in the Bible is in the story of the birth of Samuel. (See 1 Samuel 1:3 & 11). In verse 11, Hannah cries out in her bitter anguish, addressing her prayer to the “Lord of Hosts”. The One who commands the Armies heard and answered her prayer.

Workers who were defrauded of their wages cried out in despair and the Bible says their cries “…entered into the ears of the Lord of Saboath” (James 5:4). If you have a situation that seems impossible, submit your life to THE LORD OF THE ARMIES, ensure your citizenship, and cry out for Him to respond on your behalf.

PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, MY LORD OF THE HOSTSJEHOVAH-SABOATH: I now know You as LORD of all of the authorities, powers and rulers over all the earth and over all of heaven. All authority is given by You. I recognize and surrender to Your authority over my life and I surrender to the rulers and leaders that You have placed over me. As Your child there is no situation in my life that You are not aware of and allow. Let Your will to be done in my life on earth even as You have planned for it in heaven. I surrender to You and ask that Your Armies crush any illegitimate authority ruling in my life. I commit to Your authority all of my family relationships, my employment, my finances, my emotions, my church family and relationships, my habits and every other aspect of my life. I cry out for the destruction of any rebellious spirit in me or in those in my circle of relationships. Bring me to faith and fidelity as I serve in the army of JEHOVAH-SABOATH. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
