The Role of Holy Spirit In Your Life – He Brings You True Joy…

SCRIPTURE: Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

1 Thessalonians 1:5-6 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: Acts 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. (See also Acts 9:31; Acts 13:52; Romans 5:3-5; Romans 8:16-18; Galatians 5:22; Hebrews 10:34; I Peter 1:6 & 8).

THOUGHT: Everyone desires happiness in life. But happiness is based on what “happens”.  True joy lives inside of you no matter what happens. You will notice from the context of some of the Scriptures referenced above, that you as an individual may experience times of trial, trouble, testing, or even outright opposition and persecution. Yet, God promises the joy of Holy Spirit deep down inside of you, even to the point of feeling blessed to suffer for the name of Christ.

The promise of this kind of joy truly is for you, when you make a complete commitment of your life to God and Jesus Christ, and receive the filling of Holy Spirit in you. Holy Spirit brings the joy with Him when He takes up residence in your life. (See also: Galatians 5:22)

PRAYER: Lord, fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can truly know joy deep down in my soul. I believe in Jesus as my Savior, and I give my life to Jesus in complete commitment. Now fill me with Your Holy Spirit to empower me to know the real joy that You promise to me despite the circumstances I am in. I receive a greater measure of Your Holy Spirit today, In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!!!

About Pastor Lawrence A. Fox

We believe that along with many others, we are called by Jesus Christ to engage in a world-wide effort to reach those in and out of the Christian world with the message of full salvation and healing in His name. This effort starts in our own hearts through the power of the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It then finds growth and nourishment in the fellowship of the local church and fans out through every believer’s home, in our neighborhoods, with our relatives, in the workplace and in every human interaction that we engage in on this side of eternity. We are excited to be ambassadors for God in bringing His message to a lost and dying world. II Corinthians 5:18-20 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
