40 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR OUR NATION | DAY 30 | 10/23/2020

INTERCEDE FOR THOSE RECOVERING FROM ADDICTIONS OF ALL KINDS:

SCRIPTURES: 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Psalm 50:14-15 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

PRAYER: LORD, we pray for those who are addicted and suffering from the misuse of legal drugs or the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, other substances and behaviors. We recognize that there is a spiritual component to addiction and that there surely is a spiritual component to their release and recovery.

We pray that You bring laborers into their path to guide them to their relief and assistance and most of all to salvation in Jesus Christ.

LORD, help us all to realize that some suffer from addictive and destructive behavior patterns that are just as toxic and habit forming as a drug habit. We confess that not one of us is greater or better than another and we all need the power of deliverance that is only found in the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Thank You LORD for removing the cascade of opioid drugs from our the cities, towns and villages. We pray for help for those involved in the battle to keep our vulnerable children from involvement and addiction. We pray for continued recovery for our nation. In Jesus’ Name.

Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!
