REPENT FOR AND RENOUNCE ALL SEXUAL PERVERSION IN OURSELVES AND IN OUR LAND:
SCRIPTURES: Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Leviticus 18:22-23 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Romans 1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
THOUGHT: Sexual perversion includes any and all sexual activity outside of a God-ordained marriage union (Adultery, Fornication, Prostitution, Sex-trafficking, Same-sex, Rape, Incest, etc.).
The overwhelming testimony of the Word of God is that sexual perversion in any form is reprehensible to God.
Furthermore, it is clear historically that when such practices are broadly accepted and practiced in a city or nation there are consequences.
To illustrate: Someone may ‘feel like’ smoking cigarettes however governments and non-governmental organizations around the world are warning people of the current danger and future consequences of their actions. The Bible has given us severe warnings of the current and eternal consequences of sexual perversion. Just because we feel like doing something does not justify the practice. We are governed by and subject to the laws of our Creator.
PRAYER: LORD, we pray for victims of sexual perversion. They are the innocent, unsuspecting, trusting ones, who have been violated. LORD, as they seek You, heal their hearts and wounds as only You can. Renew to them what was taken by the predator. Give them Your peace, joy and love. In Jesus’ Name.
LORD we repent, asking your mercy, and forgiveness, for any and all participation we have had in sexual perversions of any kind. We renounce all such activity that we have participated in.
LORD, give us another measure of Your love and compassion to care about those so engaged, to warn them and to help them to recover, to repent and to renounce the past way of life. In Jesus’ Name.
Turn us around LORD, that we as a nation turn back to the source from which we came. Let it be a Sovereign work of Your own hand to turn this nation around. In Jesus’ Name. AMEN!
